TERMS & CONDITIONS

This service allows you to have your songs mixed by a professional Mixing & Mastering Engineer and obtain downloads of the mixed & mastered songs from us.
Quoted prices are per song. Final price depends on the above mentioned factors, plus possibly discounts for the mixing of multiple songs, or a full album project. Quoted Price includes up to 3 sets of revisions. Additional revisions are $25 each.
Price also includes up to 3 alternate mixes, such as instrumental, vocal only, and performance mixes, as requested.
**Pricing assumes that all tracks are sent fully mix ready! Any tuning, editing, or clean up of extraneous noises or unwanted audio is done at a rate of $60 per hour.
Please follow the instructions on  “How To Prepare A Song For Mixing” and upload them using dropbox, google drive or wetransfer.
Upon completion of the mix we will upload it and send you an alert email to download the mix.
The delivery date is an estimate and not a guarantee, but in most cases we deliver our mix within the agreed delivery time from the day you upload the complete set of needed files.

INITIAL MIXING NOTES
The initial mixing notes is where any specific requests needs to be written in detail as this will be used as the guide by engineer when creating the mix.
Examples:
  • On the word “Ballin” at 2:25 seconds, please add some delay like in my reference track.
  • I’d like autotune added to my lead vocal, but not adlibs
If after hearing the initial mix you have additional requests that were not specified in the initial mixing form, these are considered “Additions” and are not included in the initial service fee.  The engineer will quote you a price for such additions on a case by case basis.

SONG ARRANGEMENT
This service is dedicated to Mixing and Mastering, any editing (including removal or addition) of instruments and/or vocals needs to already be done before track submission as this is considered to be part of the recording or production stage. If such a request is needed,  you’ll need to consult it with the engineer in advance to receive a price quote for the additional fee.

SONG REVISIONS
Each mixing package includes 3 revisions.
  • The revisions phase is designed for minor adjustments to what was mentioned in the original mixing form.
  • Turn around for revisions are 5 business days (Though are sometimes delivered sooner depending on the studio schedule)
  • Below are the details of what IS and IS NOT included in your allowed revisions:
What is covered:
  • Adjustments to instructions mentioned on the initial mixing notes, that perhaps aren’t exactly how you envisioned them
  • You’d like the volume of an instrument and/or vocal adjusted.
  • You’d like effects adjusted (i.e. more reverb, less delay)
What is NOT covered:
  • Does not include adding any new instruction that was not mentioned in the original Mixing Form
  • Does not include arrangement changes: Things like creating drops, stop effects and mutes
  • New file submissions are not included (Vocal files or instrument files)
MIX LOCK
Once You approve you’re main mix, we enter what is called “The Mix Lock” phase.  After this point there is no longer the option to have anything changed in the mix (without incurring additional fees), even if you still have not used up all revisions.  After the Mix Lock phase is when the additional mixes are created from the approved main mix. (i.e. Instrumental, Acapella, Show Track and Radio Edit).

RADIO EDITS
Some packages include a Radio Edit where the curse words are either muted or reversed.  You can specify if you have a preference of either of the two in your initial mixing form but If no mention is made, the engineer will decide which is best based on the word(s). Example: There are certain curse words that even when reversed still sound the same, in which case it will be muted while all others will be reversed.

REFUNDS
We DO NOT offer refunds for services rendered by us.  Never the less we always make every effort to provide the customer with a product they are happy with.

HOW TO PREPARE YOUR SONGS FOR ONLINE MIXING

STEP 1
REMOVING PLUGINS:
After you open up your session in whatever DAW you are using you’ll need to remove all eq’s, compressors, reverbs, etc. from your tracks.  We recommend you leave in creative effects like distortion, flange, autotune or anything other effect that your absolutely happy with the sound and don’t need us to recreate it.

STEP 2
LABELING YOUR TRACKS:
Once you’ve removed all the effects from your tracks, you’ll need to properly label them prior to exporting so we can clearly understand what track is what as follows:
1. lead vocal, 2. lead guitar, 2. bass, 3. snare etc
STEP 3
BOUNCING TRACKS (One at A Time):
A few programs out there allow you to bounce all tracks in one shot, and some you’ll have to do one at a time as follows:
1. highlight your song starting from 0.00 till the end of the song. This will dictate where your bounce will start and stop, It is very important that all your tracks start at the same point so all the songs elements will line up correctly.
2. Solo one track at a time then press the bounce to disk option(or export option) to a new folder. One folder per song please to avoid confusion. (make sure you bounce the tracks in wav or AIFF format in 24 or 16 bit and the sample rate of 44.100 Hz or above).
Note: You should export the files in the same sample rate they were recorded as it would be a waste to export them as 24 bit if they were recorded as 16 bit. It will create unnecessarily large files which take longer to upload.
3. Now you’ll need to repeat steps 2 for the remainder of the tracks.  (make sure to convert all virtual instruments to audio files since this is the only type of file we accept)
STEP 4
Double check that your files:
To ensure you’ve properly exported the Wav files, you can do the following simple test to confirm all your elements line up correctly.
1. Create a new blank session
2. Import all of the tracked out wavs (They should be identical length if you exported from the same starting and end point)
3. Listen through the song to ensure everything is there and in the right place.

STEP 5
CREATING THE ZIP FILES:
1. Now it's time to create a zip file of the folder containing the tracked out Wavs you’ve created.  Generally the zip containing all your Wavs will be well under 500MB as zipping really condenses the file size down considerably since many of the Wavs will have lots of blank gaps (this is normal as not all tracks/vocals are all playing all throughout the song)
Please exclude all unnecessary files such as midi or session files. Execution files that launch a session in Fruity Loops,Pro Tools, Logic, Digital Performer, Cubase, etc are not accepted.
2. Please include a rough mix in MP3 format of your song(s) for our reference. Also, its helpful if you send us an industry song in MP3 format that you admire the quality of so we can try to match it. (Within reason of course)

Our preferred method of receiving your files are via Wetransfer. **Please note that there is a file limit of 2GB for transfer.
